i’m tired of every porn blog basically just being thin white people everywhere. it’s the same case even in queer blogs. but i suck at naming things so does anyone have any suggestions?
My name is Letrice. I'm 19. I believe in feminism. This includes but is not limited to: Stuff relating to feminism/racism/other activist stuff, movies, books, music, and occasionally k-pop. Sorry for that last one.

Vote Yes On Measure B. Protect Women In Porn
VOTE YES ON MEASURE B AND HELP PROTECT WOMEN FROM THE DISEASED INFESTED PORN INDUSTRY SLAVE TRADE.
Measure B will send government inspectors to adult film sets to check up on whether actors are working…
oh yeah, i know it passed already. it’s unfortunate. but the porn industry will mostly just pack up and move somewhere else. *shrug*
VOTE YES ON MEASURE B AND HELP PROTECT WOMEN FROM THE DISEASED INFESTED PORN INDUSTRY SLAVE TRADE.
Measure B will send government inspectors to adult film sets to check up on whether actors are working in a safe and healthful workplace. This gives government acces to what REALLY goes on in porn.

^^^ An actual woman who has been in the porn industry on why she does not support Measure B.
I am all for ensuring that adult film sets are safe and that models are protected. I am not denying that abuse takes place in the industry. But really, testing is more important than enforcing condom use.
Women of color in the pornography industry are paid half to three quarters of what white actresses tend to make.
Porn Stars of Color Face Racial Inequality and Wage Gap Too (via titotito)
Are we really surprised at this fact in a society that placates white pussy as the ultimate prize and puts anybody else into niches and fetish categories?
ARE WE REALLY?

Ughhhhh this is a serious problem I have with the porn industry. Someone told me once that porn is one field of work where women are routinely paid more than men and I just thought yeah, that’s probably only true for white women

i need some rebuttals in response to the whole “porn is ~degrading~ towards women” attitude that i am so sick of hearing. it’s such a stock, tired-ass reason to hate on porn.
porn is not degrading towards women, okay. my opinion is that people are uncomfortable with the idea of a woman publicly enjoying sex and so they throw that reason out there and pretend like they care about the exploitation of women. thoughts?
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has confirmed, to HuffPo, that the animal advocacy organization will launch a porn site at peta.XXX. PETA historically has not hesitated to bare flesh in service to their cause. But setting up a website that qualifies for the .XXX domain takes things to a whole new level.
Many companies are poised to snatch up .XXX sites when sales start on 7 September. But most of these are doing so only to protect their names from abuse in the new domain. A PETA spokesperson explains to HuffPo that the plan to actually use peta.XXX is based on a simple premise: it works. PETA tracks the effectiveness of their campaigns, and it appears their experience confirms the old adage “sex sells.”
But is it necessary to exploit the bodies of one species to spare those of another species? And will porn-browsers really stick around to benefit from gory and disturbing images of animal mistreatment? What do you think? Is “any means available” fair turf for PETA, or does peta.XXX go a step too far?

I am even more disappointed in PETA. Making porn isn’t going to make people want to turn vegan.
I don’t understand the logic in this at all….
How does porn=vegan?
Last time I checked porn = really horny.
I mean that’s how it works for me. Does anyone else watch porn so they can be reaffirmed in their vegan lifestyle? If I wanted that I’d go buy a vegan cookbook, or go to a protest or something.
Not watch porn. Especially the shit that PETA rolls out. I wouldn’t even watch that if I wanted to get off. Just sayin’.
Love,
Taylor
PETA has a history of objectifying female bodies in their ADs so I can’t say I’m surprised… okay maybe a little surprised. I’m not betting on any porn film they put on being very progressive either.
