I just wanna say that if someone made a whitepeoplemeet.com and had tv commercials for it, we’d be called racist lol.

its called okcupid, march.com, etc. there are white people on black people meet. no one’s gonna arrest you if you sign up.

Yup, here are some studies on white racist dating sites

On Dating Sites: Fewer than 7% of men stated a racial preference for Black women. Okcupid proclaims explicitly based on messaging patterns “racism is alive and well”

Dating sites are not PoC friendly hence safe spaces such as “Blackpeoplemeet”

Clearly there already are websites for only white people when 93% of users don’t want to date Black women :)

Overwhelming majority of American dating sites proves people do NOT like to date POC (TIME article), specifically BLACK WOMEN AND ASIAN MEN

(information from knowledgeequalsblackpower)

Try again, white people. Just like with the BET whine y’all do, you don’t realize you own and dominate everything, you just don’t call it “white” whatever— you don’t have to. Racists stats prove it.

Waiting hours for a cellphone to charge may become a thing of the past, thanks to an 18-year-old high-school student’s invention. She won a $50,000 prize Friday at an international science fair for creating an energy storage device that can be fully juiced in 20 to 30 seconds.

there is nothing romantic about

not knowing you’re beautiful

loving someone until they learn to love themselves

please stop romanticizing low self esteem.

it’s one thing to love a person who happens to have low self esteem

it’s another thing to frame low self esteem as a desirable trait.

#hey #hey EVERY BOY BAND EVER

i understand what this post is saying totally but i don’t really think the second example is negative at all? if you look at the lyrics for the song they’re really positive and are about being supportive and loving towards someone who has felt a lot of pain. i don’t see that as negative. the one direction song does kind of frame insecurity and low self-esteem as “cute” and desirable but i’m not seeing that with ne-yo’s song.

Photo

criggga:

”Women must give birth, men have to be tattooed,” says one Samoan tattoo song, expressing an age-old idea of equality between the sexes. Both must endure pain. In traditional Samoan society all young males had to be tattooed when they reached their late teens. Otherwise they were not considered real men. Nowadays, the custom is no longer general, but it is still associated with manhood and male prestige, and hugely popular.

For starters, more people are familiar with Robin, and could have been introduced to Nightwing through that. The show wouldn’t even have to involve Batman since the Nightwing comics revolve around Dick working in Bludhaven alone. With the exception of Blockbuster, Nightwing’s main villain, there aren’t a whole lot of superpowered characters. And Nightwing fights crime with martial arts + acrobatics which is a little more believable than a dude in a Green hoodie running around with trick arrows.

I know the trend now is the Christopher Nolan-esque “NO SUPERPOWERS EVAR!!!!!” approach but if a network played Nightwing as a crime drama with the occasionally super elements I could see it really working.

Nightwing would have made a much better CW series than Arrow.

THIS WAS MY IDEA I LITERALLY JUST MENTIONED THIS 5 MINUTES AGO

My older brother is an idea thief omg >:(

Photo

http://youtube-personalities.tumblr.com/

http://youtube-personalities.tumblr.com/

knowledgeequalsblackpower:
